Help Bluebird Rebuild after Vandalism & Theft

Dear friends and community of Roncesvalles.

My name is Dawn-Marie and I am a manager at a neighborhood restaurant in Roncesvalles, Toronto. 

Our beloved neighbourhood bar across the street The Bluebird has been vandalized and robbed over the evening of April 27th.  This comes at a time when this business has already been ravished by the pandemic and is struggling to stay afloat through these trying times. Our heart breaks for its owner who has been a bright light in this community since 2018.   She has always been there for me and my staff as our go-to place to kick back and relax after a long shift. We are devastated to see this happen in our community. 

Costs to repair the store frontage is substantial, she also had cash stolen from the premises. Anything you can do to help, donate or share this link would be so appreciated.    The goal is to take the burden off the small business owner and help her get back on her feet.  

Anything above and beyond the goal will go towards modifying the storefront to allow for a sliding door. This will contribute to better airflow within the space, making it more comfortable for guests returning after lockdown.   

I can’t thank everyone enough for your consideration in helping Bluebird and this community stay strong during these times.  I’m blown away by the support we have in Roncy, we love you all!
